Bought a new bike today, which (if it's all ship shape) I'll collect on Sunday. This will become my trackbike Twisted Evil

1997 GSXR600, 14,000 miles, Micron carbon endcan, two new tyres: £2,000.

Now I really need to sell the ZX6R. Four bikes in the garage is too much.

Just get a bigger garage - it works for me! Four bikes is a good number!

Well, I worked out today I could probably get another eight bikes in the back yard. That really would upset the bank manager though!

Bah, I've got 3 bikes in the garage, soon to become 5 Rolling Eyes

The thing is, we're moving house to accomodate the bikes.

Only my second purchase, and the other was a 75-300mm lens for Jeanette's EOS 300D camera which she'll be putting into use at track days this year Thumbs Up

I've been after a trackbike / not-too-expensive-roadbike-to-use-as-a-trackbike for some time and was watching a few on ebay. Hopefully all will be fine when I go to pick it up on Sunday and I won't have to worry about destroying my shiny Gixxer 750 on the track Shocked

Hi

Looks like a good deal on the bike. Enjoy it.

I have one of those lenses on my D30. Works quite well. Focusing could be quicker, but only if you want to spend a lot on a very high quality lense.

All the best

Keith

Well the VFR is Jeanette's, so I'm only allowed on that in the most extreme of circumstances! The GSXR750 was the replacement for the ZX6R (back in October), which I'm holding onto until demand picks up as the weather improves and then I'll sell it. The GSXR600 I've bought to use on trackdays, so I'll be removing indicators etc and maybe changing the fairing (once I've got a trailer).
