.......and want a super moto. Being 5 ft 3 i have been told Supermoto's have really high seats which could prove a problem. Anyone able to tell me if im too small to touch the ground Smile or whether i would be ok on one, obviously i have not sat on one yet which i will try before i buy obviously. Do any have higher seats than others? Laughing

Thanks
Chris

Shouldnt be a problem you learn to slide of the seat and stick one of your feet doen I am 5''7 and rode g's dr600 and couldn't get either feet on the floor the best idea is to go and sit on some!

Height means nothing, just as long as you have a bit of strength to hold the bike up you can hang off the side when stopped, I'm not the tallest and used to ride about on an xtz750, traffic lights were fun, one foot on the floor, the other in the air and a bum hanging off the saddle. Thumbs Up

Here's the closest one I could find in Northern England that matched your price and it is £995, but I would ask about the condition of the bike to make sure it's ok!

MTC Motorcycles, Reading, Berkshire.

It will also make a different how heavy you are.

I'm 5' and about 6" off the floor on most crossers... I get on and the suspension doesn't shit one iota. If you are slightly heavier you're weight will drop the suspension - hopefully enough to get a couple of toes on the floor. Thumbs Up
You just need to try a few and see how comfortable you would be hanging off slightly to hold it up.

Height isn't all that important with supermotos, once you are on them they are pretty easy to balance. My mate who is 5'6" manages fine on my MZ 660 which has a seat height of 900mm (ie fecking huge).

Speaking of which, MZ do a very well built 4-stroke motard with their own engine. Historically MZ 4-strokes have been very well engineered and this one is sleeved down from 160cc so it should be ultra reliable. I was looking at them the other day and wishing they had made bikes like that when I was a learner.

There used to be a dwarf (don't know the PC term) lived near me when I was younger, he had a CX500, used to jump off and on again at traffic lights, it was an incredible sight.

I'm only 5"6 and don't have a problem really, can touch both feet flat anyway on both KTM and WR so...

Only thing I can't do is kick start it without having the stand down and stand on the pegs... I tried to kick it without the stand this morning at bike garage and fell over Laughing

Well at the minute im a bit fat. But hopefully that will change soon Praying I dont think Reading is that close to me, Berkshire doesn't sound local anyway Laughing Although for only £995 that bike looks perfect!! Might have to invest in some of those shoes with massive soles, or not Razz . That MZ is really nice aswell.
Thanks for all the help
