Yesterday evening I racked up my 1000th NSR mile and so had the whole revcounter to play with.

however, I'm finding the bike won't rev beyond 10,500 rpm. is this a restriction thing?
also I've noticed a big flat spot between 6,500 and 7,000- this normal, or possibly something new for 2002 bikes (i'm wondering if there is a difference now of restricted CDI units) anyone else with a 2002 UK NSR getting this? or with a 2001 and not. or all the possible combinations?

Is it restricted? If so then it's perfectly normal behaviour, you'll find it will rev to redline if you give it enough time, test it out by finding a straight road, get in 3rd gear and cain it until it revs out - if it won't have it, there's something wrong.

If it's de-restricted, then it's not normal behaviour. Make sure both restrictors are gone, if they are, there's something wrong.

Thanks- the bike's still restricted. I just have slight bit of paranoia about it...
Truly you are wise i the ways of the NSR...
