Colours of wires may vary but this is what I got on my C90 and H100.

Bigger coil has three wires coming out of it. One end connects to earth (usually soldered to a ring terminal which is screwed down to the stator plate. One comes from halfway along the coil windings, usually connects to a yellow wire that supplies power to the lighting switch. The third comes off the other end of the windings and usually attaches to a white wire which goes to the rectifier.

The other smaller coil has two wires, one attaches to the plate as an earth in the same way as above, the other end attaches to both the points and to a yellow on black wire that runs to the rectifier.

I should add that I would definatley check the resistances of those coils you have pictured. They look like someone has been 'at' them in a big way, the copper wires are normally covered over with black woven insulating material for starters.

The thin wires are usually soldered to a thicker, insulated wire inside a kind of 'sleeve' of insulation and clamped down to the stator plate with a little metal plate that screws on.

Piccy shows a stator plate off a CDI type machine, again really crap quality. Probably no help whatsoever Rolling Eyes

Never fear! The pristine and complete C90 stator plate in my piccy cost 15 quid from the breakers. All ready to fit the oil seals and plug in Smile
