Hi all,

Well aftetr the little upset my cdi unit had i thought all was well, i was rideing for 80 miles today with no problem at all...
Every so often the bike perfoms... well bad... keeping the throttle constant it feels a bit flat, keep it the same at certain revs and it just dies down, unless you pull the throttle back then it acts normaly..

I'm guessing plugs? i have no idea when they were last changed, to be honest i really can't be @rsed takeing all the plastics off to check if its not likely to be that... another possibility is leads, might change both anyway, and the plug caps? will change the lot at some point but not in a tremendous hurry...

Just seems to be less poke in the engine the last couple of weeks..

Any idea what i might be?

I had a plug problem recently too.

Well, not a problem with the bike running, but I wanted to change the plugs as I had no idea when they were last done.

Anywho, I soon discovered that the HT leads core was coroded, so I cut off about a centimetre and screwed the cap back on - sorted!

Could be similar to your prob, could be losing spark?

I'd also check the plugs themselves and the air filter.

Hope this helps, I got great help from others on here about how to sort the leads - wouldn't take you long to check them I suppose.

Does your magic machine have one of those vacuum operated petrol taps? If so have a look at that. With not a lot of vaccuum the tap might be closing down. Have a look at the pipe connecting it to the inlet.
