I've got a 91 model and it doesn't seem to be deristrictable.. it'll do about 85 with a decent bit of downhill though... and it'll get pretty much upto the redline doing it. Mine's an Italian import though.

Your'e best bet's to have a look and see if the restrictions mentioned on NSR125.com are there.

By 'notch' do you mean a sorta click... this could be several things, slightly bent forks, not enough oil in forks or some bearings (around the yoke probably) are knackered.

Mines an import as well and will do about the same.
It is a sorta click yeah, forks are straight but from what other ppl have said its probably bearings.

Hi

If it is an import from Italy then it was not restricted when new. Any restriction that is in place is down to the previous owners / importing dealer. They could have done anything, from fixing the carb to stop it opening fully, welding a washer somewhere in the exhaust, disconnecting the power valve, retarding the timing a long way, or any combination (along with no doubt a few other ideas)

All theb est

Hi Guys, I too have an Italian imported 92 FM model. I have recently looked deep for restrictions. Exhaust ( lump end ) is of a wide bore. Carb, no washers on the throttle slide. Intake has no restrictor plate on the reed valves. It is fitted with the original exhaust but does look as if it has been roughly welded together. If anyone can give any solid reasons where this model is restricted I would like to hear. Does 145 kmh tops.
Cheers.
