Right. Both the bulbs in my rear light are fine when my lights are on but when I brake the right one goes out.

Any ideas?

Had the rear fairing off so maybe I've knocked a wire out?

Sounds like the fixing could have broken causing the 2 points to touch, shorting out the light, but only when the brakes are pressed.

Check for some melted wires as this happened to me not so long ago and it melted all three wires into one. I had to buy a new one in the end.

Hi

On some vehicles the tail light does go out when the brake light comes on, as with the brake light on the tail light would not be visable anyway. If the brake light filament of the bulb is blown then it will do as you describe.

All the best

Keith

It is common on older cars for earth failures to do things like that. Make sure all earth connections are clean and tight.
