I know I'm gonna sound dumb, but does anyone know what metal the swingarm on a 97 srad is made from, as this morning my chain guard has decided to snap one of it's holding points from it.

99% sure that its aluminum


put a magnetic on it, and if it sticks its steel not aluminum

It will be a alloy of aluminium and something else. You will need to know what alloy it is to weld it up.

Is definately Aluminium alloy.

The other metal I think is Zinc but i'm not sure.
