Hi everybody I have just got my bike back with two new tyres. I opted for the Michelin Pilot Power tyres after reading all the technical mumbo jumbo and decided to stay with the original front tyre profile of "65". The first thing I noticed is that New Bike feeling! It was like riding my bike away from the dealers for the first time all over again! second thing I noticed was the weird feeling that brand new tyres have! I have never felt that before! it is hard to explain the weird sensation it is almost a sideways two wheel slide to a small way to put it! certainly scared me Shocked does any body here know what happens and why the bike feels so strange for the scrubbing in period? do both wheels actually slide a little bit? Question

Be careful for the first 50 or so miles. The new tyres are still covered in release compound ( a type of grease) when put on your bike. To scrub it off just ride around taking it easy.

Hey, let me know how they perform. Thats what I'm getting next after my Avon's wear out! Thumbs Up
Still got a good bit to go on them yet.

Scrubbing in periods are gash, I paid no real attention to it, I went out for a 80 mile blast and had the shiney surface scrubbed off in 1 run. Ok, gradually build up to leaning over but 1 good ride and your tyres should be ready to rock.
