Very wierd thing happened today. i finished work rode home and parked up outside my house and took a look at my dashboard! the trip counter (which i reset when i bought the bike) shows 160 KM. i thought i read it wrong then did my sums!!! 100 miles where the hell had i been!
The thing is i got the bike on tues night!!! and been riding to work which is 3 miles away tops ATCF!!! my only explaination is i have been taking the long way to work!!! Razz Great fun and love it! riding is so rewarding when you get it right (for me rarely at the moment)
anyone else been surprised by how far they can go with no effort!

Yeah I was amazed when I first got my bike...

When I do a long journey I find it an odd experience filling a tank full of a liquid, driving 130 odd miles and that tank being half empty and needing to fill it again...

Yep, that's odd. With that kind of fuel consumption you're ovbiously not thrashing it enough! It should be empty after 80 miles. Wink

It's true. 400's good fuel economy goes straight out of the window once you wind it up a few times (or keep it wound up). Wink Laughing

Yeah I got a shock when I look at mine and saw that it was on 10,670 miles tonight. I bought it in november on 7200 !

Went for a nice long ride today and was at the petrol pump twice! bearing in mind my tank will do a good 160 miles.

me wants...

56litre tank, petrol station? whats that?

It weird when you set off to go somewhere far off, especially motorways, 100 miles seems allot.. the other day i was rideing arround nottinghamish area and did 100 miles, just running about town, it was really quite weird.

Seems the bigger your bike gets the less noticeable distance is? i.e. 200miles on a cg125 is a BLOODY long way Shocked
