I've got someone coming down from Cambridgeshire to Portsmouth to buy my bike but I can't find the V5 anywhere! Crying or Very sad I have the new keepers supplement from when I bought it, I have a HPI cert for it and variousother bits but can't find the V5 anywhere.. is there anything I can do??

1) I won't be able to sell the bike without it I doubt

and

2) he's going to be pissed off that he's come all this way for nothing

is there ANYTHING I can do, right now??

Phone him and tell the guy. He may or may not be wanting to buy the bike RIGHT NOW anyways. Confused

There is no way he'll entertain you unless that V5 is there.

Failing that, try look harder!!

Why is it, people lose important documents like this??!! Passports, driving licence's etc...Take care of your stuff man!! Laughing

If you can convince him that you are legit then just sign a detailed receipt for the bike.

It doesn't prove anything, but show him your insurance cert. for the bike at your address. It might help, as dodgy sellers wouldn't have the bike insured ?

Maybe you could give the DVLA a ring and see if they could confirm the owners name and address (being your name and address) for the bike over the phone to the bloke?

No idea if this is at all possible, just a thought.

Yep sold the WR, £2550 - not bad really considering I still have most of the spares! Sold the headlight for £50 so only need to make £200 out of the other spares to reach the £2800 I wanted for everything...

Buying a peugeot 306 next week hopefully (yes I know I haven't done my test yet.. ) and also booking my driving lessons, and doing theory - already bought my new licence as I lost my last one, just gotta wait for this to turn up then I can start terrorising the roads in a car Razz Laughing

FWD so you cannot wheelie it. Well, maybe in reverse.

All the best
