Right first off, lets all just for arguments sake pretend i took 2 wheels off of my Ford Fiesta Mk3, so that it qualifies as a 'bike'.
Good....
When i'm driving the 'bike' at a reasonable speed and then slow down to a stop, the engine shudders and stalls, this happens even when the gearstick is in neutral or the clutch is down!
Does anyone know why this is??
Very sorry for using this forum for car problems ____________________ "It'll be alright in the morning" |

My girlfriends car did this before xmas.
Apprantly, when the accelerator pedal is not pressed it rests on something (not sure what this 'something is called) this something is affected by the cold and needs adjusting. It throws your idle speed out but it's not the carb that needs asjusting.
At least that's what is was on Sarah's Uno.
(This post is of no help at all is it. Sorry dude Just trying to help.) |

that'll be your idle control valve assuming its injected? the throttle arm rests on it and the valve adjusts your idle to the required rpm depending on load, temperature etc etc.
Give it a good spray of wd40 as they tend to dry out due to them sitting high up in the engine bay as they seem to get all the heat.
new from a dealer it could be anything from £60 upwards , thats what vauxhall wanted for one on my corsa, but i just sprayed it with WD40 and all seems good, *touches wood*
