insurance problem

Recently insuring a Gz marauder with my current policy, upgrading it to a 125, i got the cover note in the post and it declared that the body of the bike was infact a moped? two days later the full statement came, on the insurance note it stated that the name of the bike was a Piaggio Zip, ( my old Bike)
Now i gave them all the correct information to insure the bike, so they must have made an error somewhere between the cover not being sent and the full statement.


Is this their fault, could i be liable for having no insurance?

Contact them now by phone or in person and request an immediate amended cover note by the earliest possible date. Sorry, but I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting until the the full statement arrived when in fact the cover note was wrong anyway! Didn't you contact them straight away to alert them to the error to get an amended replacement?

You can't ride that bike without an insurance cover note at least and you'll get done by the copper if he wants to look at it, otherwise he will request you to turn up the local Police station within a short period of time with that cover note.

You did wrong waiting for the full statement.
