While phoning round for insurance quotes I've kept a note of who offered what... As a few people have asked about insurance costs for 600s I've stuck them up on my site... it may or may not be a good indication of which companies to ring.
I'm going to ring about another ten over the next coupla days and stick them on there as well.

(Sorry the site's looking a dodgy 'cos I've been messing around with php rather that putting effort into the design, I will try and make it look prettier some time soon)[/url]

my *quote* website *unquote* is like that, im using it to learn stuff

while on the topic of insurance, i have something to add, never go for company insurance, or subsidised cos its crap

my moped came with insurance and costs a mere 100 quid, i thought great, only to find out when the policy arrived that there is a 700 excess on any claim

so its worthless

Yeah that can be a bitch.

When I bought my ped, the paperwork for the free insurance policy came through a few days later, I had a good read of it. The normal excess on the policy is £750!!!

Thats not the worst part...

If my bike gets stolen, and it wasn't locked with the approved Italjet lock, the excess I'd have to pay is £1000!!

Colleague at work got a ped for their son. After waiting about 2 months for the "free" insurance to come through they discovered that it did not cover him for riding to and from college / work, whcih is what he had got it for

All the best

Keith:
Yeah, its a complete scam. If I had found out this info before, I would have tried to get my own insurance and a discount on the 'ped!

Wild Goose:
It would take me a while to get to Hertfordshire at 50mph, without using motorways ;)
