I was riding around town when i came to a roundabout, i was indicating and turning left. I was sat there for about 2 minutes, waiting for a gap in the traffic, then i felt a bump from behind. I looked around to see that a women in a red rover was right up my arse. As i eased foward i stalled the bike, and it wouldnt start. i bumped then carried on. I drove very slowly to see if she would take over me (and to piss her off) so i could grab her plate (if any damage was done). But she indicated and went off down a road, a minute later i found a safe place to pull over, where i checked to see if there was any damage, luckily there wasnt.

How do i deal with this situation?

Should i have got off my bike there and then?

I would have got off, checked for damage then

If no damage;

Middle finger.. take time to get back on bike... ride off..

If damaged;

Knock on her window and kindly ask for insurance details etc get her reg no. . if she/he says fuck off and tried to drive off, then it's wing mirror time.. Twisted Evil

Engine off, block her way.

GET HER CAR REG NUMBER

If there is damage then ask her to pull over to get her insurance details.

If no damage then put it down to accidents happen, no harm done, on your way.

Don't go knocking off wing mirrors cos it's not gonna help your claim if there is one.

Heard a story about a guy that was cut up on a roundabout. At the next set of lights he gets off the bike and walks up to the car that almost killed him and tore off the wing mirror then passed it through the window to the bemused driver saying
"Well you don't fookin use it so you don't need it"

I had to slam on once when two old dears walked out into the middle of the road at a junction in rush hour.... managed to come to a safe stop and then got twatted up the arse by a guy in an elise... stayed on the bike fine with no problems.... the old dears were safe and I turned round to see the guy kind of apologetically wave and then indicate to go round me and get off... so I blocked him in.. got off and went and opened his car door.. he got out... I showed him a slight crack on the number plate mount and told him it would be about £50 to replace.... so he ran over to the cash point, got £50 out and gave it me and then we were both on our way....

what scared me was that if I hadn't stopped then would he have hit the old dears instead of me? He even admitted he was changing the radio station! Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

And you'll be finishing it when the police do you for criminal damage.

Think if the same happened on a bike. You made what you considered was an honest mistake, or may not even have realised you did anything wrong.

Someone then comes and smashes a bit off your bike.
Do you decide that you were obviously wrong, or that the other person is a complete arse hole that deserves to be injured/done by the police?

Get off make as much fuss as possible. If you're "hurt" the police have to be called to the scene. I would be a pain in the arse as thats the sort of person i am. Claim there's a awful pain in my neck. Refuse to move my bike, refuse to let them move, get witnesses and call the police.

Yes, i don't have much else to do in my life...

I would always have checked before moving off!

If nothing else just to make her respect motorcyclists a bit more.

I wouldn't off got off making an obstruction in the road on 400greybike someone done this and the driver of the car ran over his bike when he reported it to the police he was prosecuted for causing a dangerous obstruction in the road. So be cautious if you get into this situation.

Personally a swift kick in the sidedoor with an expensive repair to the prick would of done me fine.

This is a bad idea. I did this and she took me to court. I got a £438 fine. Good thing is though i only have to pay her £8 a week Very Happy

Yes.

Check for damage and 'have a word' whether there's any damage or not.

Similar thing happened to me and I got off and gave her a mouthful. Wasn't letting her go anywhere until I was happy she hadn't damaged my bike (took quite a whack). Though, she was more concerned about the state of her knackered bumper and dented bonnet than the fact that she could have just pushed me into oncoming traffic. Rolling Eyes
