hey, i'm planning on moving up to a 400 when i pass my test and prefferably a ZXR, but i was wondering what the insurance will be like for a rough idea? i'll be 17, no claims or convictions, 1 years no claims (hopefully). what quotes did u guys have? Any suggestions for other 400's which are cheap to insure?

GSXR400 at 22, 1 NCB no accidents. £240. Time for renewal in a couple of months, I wonder what it'll drop by.

When we were looking at a bike for my gf, We did loads of online quotes and NC30's were the cheapest to insure.

She has a 88 CBR400 NC23, TPFT @ £275 (She's 21 with 0NCB, Bike is in the shed plus she has 3rd party cover on other bikes and Breakdown cover)

We had full quotes on a 1990 NC30 @ £105 TPFT... When I had my NC30 a few years back, I was getting awesome quotes just before I sold it, £100ish TPFT and £250 fully comp, I would had been 20 with 2yrs NCB.

Cofield ins have been totally awesome for me and her.
