Ay up, as seen in this thread i was looking at a cbr. Well ive bought the swine.

£2300 with restrictor kit and fitting, and extended year warranty with 500 limit on parts and labour. I think that was well haggled.
Anyone in the herts area any good at liberating them horsies? When it gets abit warmer ill take it out, until then. 33bhp should do me.

Picking it up saturday after its got valeted, mot'ed, serviced and restricted. Not bad bday 'present' (the present was the loan and ferrying around finding it)

I'm ok at extracting 60 Japanese horses from my bike, hehe

Ben (Smoto Bob) had that bike, so he can show you what it can do. Wink Chris has a CBR600 as well, albeit an older one. The others are always up for riding as well, so it's all good there.

Just keep an eye out for the Herts lot's rideouts in outings and excursions, and hopefully see ya around dude. Thumbs Up

Nice one on the bike, you know Hondas make the most sense. Very Happy Cool

Haha insurance conundrum sorted. 160 TPO until end of may, then ill have 2 years and over a year since my test. So insurance will be pretty cheap.

Roll on saturday.

Who is going to help me derestrict it in a fortnight or so?

As in washer on/in the carb in some kind of outlet? What about throttle stops and different jets?

Believe CBR600 is just washers in the carbs, it details on your restriction certificate how it is restricted.

The jetting won't have been changed.

The washers are under the carbs, take the carbs off and there are four big washers looking at you, remove them and put the carbs back on and you're done.

My engine is nearly the same as 97 CBR6 lump (smaller carbs, different cams), mine was restricted by intake manifolds and cdi unit. Click Here for pic of my restrictors

That’s when the underwriters go home; and you can't push the price too low without them.
