 |
|
Has anybody on here purchased a road set of fairings, or screen for there bike?
I am looking at the fairings for my NC29, and they were left in a state by the previous owner. So I am looking at aftermarket goodies which would be cheap to replace. Also my 29 has a fuse box attached to the inside of the headlight cowel, But I dont know if this would be on the aftermarket part, so maybe somebody has moved one to elsewhere.
Also looking at a double bubble screen, but do not know if Skidmarx ones are any kop like! ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |

Skidmarx screens are exellent. Bit fiddly to fit but work a treat. Don't know about the fairing though. |

I bought some skidmarx lower fairings for the NC30.
They seem okay quality although the mounting holes needed some adjustment (holes needed redrilling) to get them to fit properly.
They have been on the bike now for a couple of years and are still intact.
I'm not sure now, but the screen might be from skidmarx too, again one of the holes wasn't in the correct place and would need redrilling (I was lazy and just didn't bother putting a screw in that hole ) . ____________________ "Unlike public school you don't need to have your arse up and your head down to go a long way...." |

got a single seat unit for NC29 from them
they cocked up and sent me an NC30 one, and took ages to sort it out, however they did come and collect it and deliver me the correct one all at their cost, so did redeem themselves ish
make sure you are very clear you want 29 not 30
quality was arse to be quite honest, big fucking uneven mould lines, but at least the fibreglass was white not black, bitch to fit, seems it wasnt designed taking into account mounting points, holes were just about in the right place so that was ok, but didnt allow for the black plastic bits that secure the seat unit at the rear (helmet hangers)
would look for genuine honda panels on ebay to be quite honest, but i cant say i know what the fairings will be like
some speak highly of skidmarx, i wasnt that impressed
my single seat unit is for sale if youre interested ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

um, the screen is brilliant, but the fairings fit are something to be desired. they dont really line up properly, and the upper fitments needed serious fileing down to fit in the holes, but they did get to fit.
honda bits are better ____________________ www.wilcollinsphoto.co.uk |

Had a set for my rvf400, had to get my money back after 2 months as the right hand side had all but collapse from cracking, no collisions and fitted correctly
Got a screen from them and that was pefectly fine!
