ok i am about 2 weeks away from getting my nsr 125 r 03 plate. My honda garage told me over the phone it was absolutely mint. When i went down they said it has just been delivered and it had: a dent on the feul tank, and a cracked front fairing. so i said for £2600 thats not very good, so they kindly replaced these two parts for me, so basically the bike is mint now. all it has is a scratch on the back right fairing. it has done 1600 miles, all in working condition and my friend said all the mechanics and wheels are in mint condition. Is £2600 good??? thanks for your time Thumbs Up

Its not great no.

Wouldn't expect to pay more than 2500 for a second hand one in any condition, that one is about 18 months old, has 1600 miles on it, and has been crashed or dropped.

Maybe 2400 tops, but TBH they won't budge much on price. If you must own a newish NSR its better to go private and wave wads of cash at the seller. Does wonders to 17 year olds, seeing 2k in 20 pound notes offered for something their parents paid for.

Ahem. If your bike is priced at over £200 more than its proper market value, your jacket and pants are not exactly "free" are they? They're costing you at least £200........

Give the guy a break though, he's already bought it!

Remember your paying for convienience as well, its the right bike in the right colour at somewhere convienient. Privately you buy it but you might have to travel for ages to pick it up, and you couldnt expect things like dealers replacing busted parts, discounts in future or cloths etc added on.

Basically you got a pretty regular deal, even if you paid a bit over the top you did get jacket/trousers, new tank and fairings and your name goes on the dealers system for future when you can blag discounts. (We got 500 off an already argued down VFR800i considering it was the 6th bike we bought from the place we shop at).

If you bought it, and your happy with it then good luck to you.
