Due to demise of the Brands trackday I've looked for alternatives, and booked this.

Donington Park on a Saturday for £115. It's a joint TrackAttack / Jamie Whitham Speedfreak day (which means there's plenty of instruction and some famous riders kicking about apparently). There are three groups (steady, inters and fast) as well as some fast Go-Karts going out in between ( Exclamation ) Track time is kept the same as they don't stop for lunch.

At the moment, the weather is good Thumbs Up

When I called up earlier they still had spaces left in every group. I don't know how many though.

No, there's one on the 18th and one on the 19th. The one on the 18th is a noisy day whereas the one on the 19th isn't, but the price jumps to £145 for the 18th.

The more the merrier. Craig said there's a few others coming down.

That's interesting - I've always treated Coppice as a double apex bend and that's not what it says to do:

Interesting, I allways thought it was a double apex too.
I think perhaps the higher corner speed you'll get if you let it run wide missing the second apex gives you and extra few mph going onto the back straight, which could turn into a fair speed increase by the end of it.

Unless your REALLY pushing it i don't think your likely to see a difference, so just go with which ever you feel more comfortable with.

Personally if i wasnt looking through the corner and was thinking about being over to the left i'd be in the gravel trap seconds later Laughing

Hi

Well, everybody survived unscathed.

Mike managed a bit of off roading when his clutch cable self adjusted itself. Craig aimed to get his knee down, then realised that doing this was putting him on the grass.

Silvers bike sounds like it is fitted with the whistle from a Stuka.

All the best
