look for an after market sports exhaust and look at re-jetting your carbs but be careful as derestricting can void you insurance if you crash

im not positive with your bike but this is usually the case with small bikes, im sure you could modify an exhaust from another bike if their not available for yours
no wories mate

Four stroke 125's cant be de-restricted, thats pretty much their maximum power output.

To be honest, I wouldnt even bother with an exhaust as the performance gain will be minimal with just an end can and a full system will be costly, if you can even source one down.

If you want it to make a godlike sound on the other hand, a can will do the trick, just wont make it go any faster.

You can try to de-restrict it but that might be problomatic as it doesn't have any restrictors. Doh!

I think it looks pretty damn good! By far one of, if not the nicest 125's on the road. Drooling

One was parked up at college next to my old RS125 and it put mine to shame! Needless to say, my new bandit puts the comet to shame, but its still a lovely machine. Just a little expensive for what they are.

Also, they look better in black, but the yellow aint half bad. Smile

Moosey, Yep I really rate the bike, its nice to ride and very comfortable, feels massive compared to the RS125. No problems so far (fingers crossed)

A good exhaust will give it a boost in power. You can get a performance exhaust at least for an mz 4 stroke-gives a dyno proven 15% increase in power. Though it's probably not road legal and is 300 or so dollars. I've seen comets with slip ons though.

The rt is definetly a 4t and I think the sx is too.

Can't de-restrict 4 strokes as they are already de-restricted. Only thing that might improve performance a fraction is a sports exhaust, make sure its jetted up properly, maybe a bigger carb and whack a K&N air filter on it. But this probably won't make a huge difference, but K&N will make it sound much better.

Read post above^^ 15% is alot of power. It takes the mz's to 17.5 (I think) horses, an increase of 2.5. From a 4 stroker 125 that ain't bad.

You say it's a comet? Get it bored out, it's the same block as the 250 but with slieves in I think, or it's not machined the same.

An alternative way of getting a roartier sound is to find the airbox and lop off the airbox snorkel to let in more air - i guess rejetting is recommended as you don't want your mixture too lean, but hell, it makes your bike sound like it's got a bigger schnozz to breath through, makes people think that you may have a 250 because of the louder noise and generally, it boosts your ego a bit. I've run mine without airbox snorkel for about 4 months now (1500 miles) and it's fine - plugs are normal colours which suggests i wont need a rejet. The throttle control is smoother and you will be aroused by the induction suck noise at about 5000 rpm Thumbs Up Give it a go.

Mine made a silly amount of noise when I did that last. It was great, though I felt really rather self concious. Smile I think I should do it again.
