Hi All,

first post so go easy!

I passed my test last year and have been riding around on a cb500 since then.

I now have the funds for a newer bike £3500 + around £750 - 1000 for the CB500

and am seriously considering the Fazer (old or new I like em both). I dont like the hornet, sv or the bandit. I want to stick to between 600 - 800cc

What will the fazer 600 feel like compared to my cb500, will I notice a substantial difference in power etc.

help muchos appreciated

Yes! Thumbs Up

Seriously a Fazer 600 is a good choice. The newer ally framed models are actually supposed to be less good than the older THundercat based steel framed models.

Alternatives to this are, Honda Hornet 600, Suzuki SV650 (a bit down on power, but a hoot nonetheless) and maybe an older CBR6 or a Thundercat.

The easiest way to find to find out how different a fazer will be compared to your CB500 is to get a test ride on one. Have a look on Bike Trader to find a dealer near you with one. Go along and have a look at it, talk to the sales man about it and then ask for a test ride. Don't just walk in and ask for a test ride as that doesn't look like you're interested in buying the bike which is why they'll let you have a test ride.
