Well I was bored so went to the hill (newcastle) for a look around. Ended up looking at leathers as I am yet to get any as I have been just using water proofs over the winter.
So I end up trying some suits on then went and bought a 2 peice RST pro series suit! and as soon as I walk outside it's bloody raining!
Anyway will be picking up the pants tomorrow aready felt safer just wearing them in the shop!

YUp, i only came off at about forty five in heavy duty jeans, an leather jacket, gloves, helmet, boots etc.

The rest of me was completly fine, but i have lovely tarmac burn scars on my legs to prove that it isnt a good idea.

My advice. Get something that wont rip off!

Jeans are a bad idea! even with leathers on top. They will grip your skin and rip it then let the road do the rest. Im cueently useing leathers pants that are 25 years old. lol. still better than jeans though.

Textiles have done me fine so far in all my offs, none faster than 30. I'll be endeavouring to get a decent leather jacket this summer though, or certainly the Devon jacket for my trousers. Textiles match more of what I'll be doing on a bike really, commuting, touring, perhaps a little off road stuff. Never know, I might not be subject to student skintness forever...

Yeah my textile gear is wolf racing is verry good but the armour in the RST kit felt more comfortable.
The new Pro series stuff has thicker premium leather and more layers than the previous RST stuff so glad a spent that little extra for it!
My mate has the wolf gear in leather and is real good stuff also he got caught out in the rain (one of those many flooding rainy days last summer) and he did'nt get too drenched and they beared out fine so yeah I rate wolf gear!
