Just looking around for new pads for my SV650 and have seen a few different options. However, it occured to me that I don't actually know how many I need! For example, I've seen some for £17, which are described as:
Sintered / HH Pads / Grooved shoes
As it refers to them in the plural does this mean that for £17 I get enough to do one brake disc's worth, meaning I need two sets for the front and then one set of back pads as well? Or is it £17 per pad, meaning I need 4 for the front?

I have 2 weeks off for Easter soon so I can use the time to go out riding and take various sections of my bike to bits without the pressure of having to get it all back together and working to get to work the next day! Brakes are first on the list, as the back is sticking a little. I intend to give them a good clean and treat them to new pads. I should imagine I will be asking for advice on getting them back together again soon. Very Happy

£17 is a price for a pair, i.e. one caliper. Which means you'll need 2 sets for the front brakes, and one set for the back.

Thanks Scooby, I suspected that but I just wanted to make sure before I started going off and ordering them only to find I had enough for half a job.
