Hi people,

my lid is about 5 years old, and its been sligtly through the wars, i'm due for a new one, but at the moment, i can't get one due to funds...

however, my visor on my current lid, has loads of small scratches on it, and also some larger ones, from stone chips, and also from being in storage for 1 1/2 years.

anyway, i was advised to use "Silvero" to get rid of the scratches, which is fine, and it has got rid of most of the small ones, but i was wondering if anyone has any advise on getting rid of some of the larger scraches & marks for a tight git like my-self?

Jay

Shocked Christ.. 5 years old? You should consider buying a new lid.

The helmets protective level degrades so low after 2 years you are recommended to replace it!.

Use Autosol if you must keep the lid. This will remove them nicely, and polish the lens.

Yeh I highley reccomend you pick up a new lid.. even if its fairly cheap, if it has the correct ACU gold sticker, it will offer more protection compared to a 5 year old scratched lid. Thumbs Up
