im thinking of getting a full exhuast....im thinking about possibly two brothers. they seem to be a good company, im curious whats the loudest exhaust. i like the sound of a very loud, deep sounding exhaust...my yoshimura slip on is so quiet it pisses me off....

ART cans are loud. Akrapovic are especially so. Those are the only two I've heard which I remember.

ART exhausts and the like are are excessivley loud all the time, no matter the engine speed or load, which in my humble opinion is no great thing.

Why anyone would want to buy an exhaust purely to make lots of noise is beyond me, and anyway, I didn't think ART made full systems?

ART is the loudest ive owned on my 400 and on my mates R6 it sounds really good, he cut his down by about 3" to get the noise you seem to be looking for, he wanted loud and low tone aswell.

MarkR1 is right ART dont make the full system....
Ive a micron system on my bike now with a carbon can, doesnt sound half as loud as my old bike which had the full Akro pipes.
The Akro set, is a bit pricier but well worth the money, you may also have to re-jet etc... my bike had a few flat spots etc to begin with...! Thumbs Up

If you want really loud, cut a standard race exhaust down, or take it off all together. Get engine poked to match.

Don't blame us when the pigs hear you coming from miles away though Smile. (Or your neighbours call them.)

I wouldn't really get a full system on a road bike unless you serious need the extra power; you will need to get a race filter, jetting/powercommander and setup as well really, to make it all work properly. If you've got the money then it's a nice tart-statement however Smile.

Quite a few are made with remobvable baffles so you can have it loud or quiet. Think Blue flame do some 4 into 4's with 4 removable baffles so it's either ear splitting or almost silent.

I'm presuming he's complaining that Race yoshi system is too quiet, so removable baffles probably aren't quite what he's looking for Smile.

You don't just want loud....try and get a pair of termignoni pipes....yes, they're for ducati's (especially I believe) but they're a lovely deep rumbling sound and open up to be very loud indeed. (I can always hear a ducati going up the road, about 300m+ from me)

Very distinctive. Expensive though Sad

Twin Yoshi's on a SP-1 sound nice too....

I've got a relatively unknown race can on mines but it really is ace.

MIVV, titanium oval. Nice finish, great rumble at low speeds and has a nice howl when your bombing along Thumbs Up

Erm, that would be because Ducatis are very loud bikes in the first place. Bigger capacity cylinders means louder.... so most V-twins are pretty loud, and due to the nature of the engines have that 'rumbling' sound.
Sorted supermotos are usually louder though!

True. My Art can sounds wicked. Very Happy

Suppose it is loud. I keep it low around town anyway. Out of town, the sound doesn't matter/piss people off as much... well it might do. Any who, when I'm out of town I don't care what other people think.

Art can never annoys me put it that way. Thumbs Up

Trouble is that it will probably run poorly with the baffles in or the baffles out. Nobody yet does a switchable Power Commander type device so you can easy adjust the fueling when you put the baffle back in.

All the best

Go for the art cans if you are on a budget, if not go for blue flame or scorpion with the removable db killers

If you do alot of miles think hard about getting a loud can.
After a couple of hours riding (especially on motorways) you will have a splitting headache. Swapped mine for a road legal one on my old ZRX due to this. Mind you that was a four, My BMW Boxer sounds like a spitfire with the race can on. Wink

Second that, plus you are drawing attention to your self and your mates, riding behind you may be nice for a while but people soon get sick of the noise, or maybe the £60.00 fine you might pick up change you train of thought Question
