Hi there, hopefully someone can help. The bike starts and ticks over/ revs up sweetly. Engage 1st and let the clutch out and the engine just dies, suspect it could be the sidestand switch. Is there anything else that would cause this?

Cheers Thumbs Up Barry

ive had bikes do this when they arnt warm, my RS used to do it, not sure if my ZXR does

if u unbolt the side stand switch it will pop out the needle bit and will be non-funtional,

unless theres a short in the unit i spose

other than that im not sure, what lights are one when it cuts out or do they all go out

puttin it in gear shouldnt change anything other than a very small load on the engine dependin on the clutch adjustments and the switch

only thing is it the jolt of engaging gear making a dry joint move on the electrics

Does it bog down and stall or just die? Sounds like side stand switch. Confused

Side stand switches on ZXR's are EVIL Evil or Very Mad

You should test it.. definetly sounds like the sidestand or neutral switch.

Both of which are horrible on ZXR's! Laughing
