If you are having what you suspect are electrical issues, check all connectors. Then check them again.

Then strip the buggers, clean the contacts and reconnect them.

Then check once more.

Today, after 6 months of intermittent problems and 5 of being off the road totally I finally managed to track and solve the ignition problem I've had (engine dying randomly then coming back to life), it was an 8 pin box connector from the igniter box to the loom. It is slightly worn and was unseating itself by at most 2-3 degrees and losing connection, then of course by the time the bike was stripped of bodywork (this connector sits behind the right hand sidepanel/tailpiece) it had been knocked back into position.

I'm aware this is elementary stuff, but remember it. I was trying to take short cuts due to pain/medication and all they got me were a machine that was laid up and off the road. Now all I have to do is manage to fit the new zorst Confused

Have fun Very Happy
