Hi,

I have just bought a Suzuki GSXR600 2002 model. A tale tidier has been fitted with modified lighting and small indicators.

There are two bulbs on the rear, when I put the lights on only 1 of the rear lights comes on, the other comes on with the brake. Should both not be on and then get brighter with the brake? Also, only 1 of the front bulbs comes on and the other only lights up when full beam is on.

Theres more....! The indicators flash very quickly (about 3 times faster than should be).

Any ideas???? Any info or advice much appreciated!

Si

Chances are you'll need to fit some sort of relay to get the indicators to flash at the correct rate, although I've heard you can just swap them for higher/lower wattage bulbs. No idea if that works though.

I'm sure someone will have the full details on this, but you might be able to put resistors into the circuit which will slow the rate down, depending on what type of indicator they are.

You usually find that mini indicators come with 10 watt lamps in them, the standard ones are about 21 watt - simply replace the wrong ones.

Check the wiring for the rear lamps, they should work together I'm sure. The front ones may be normal

If they're wired up normally, yes, both lights should be on and become brighter with the brakes applied.

If the previous owner's fiddled with it though, who knows? Confused Sad

That's perfectly normal Thumbs Up
