It can be tricky because a cheap battery needs to be filled with sulphuric acid and splills it if it is tipped over. This is tricky stuff to post. You will find plenty of places that will sell you the battery but they arrive dry, less places are prepared to send a bottle of strong acid through the post.
Another factor is that batteries are mostly made of lead. This means they are heavy and expensive to post.
You might get someone to send you a sealed battery through the post, these come with the acid in a sealed up package that you shove in the top of the battery. Sealed batteries are not cheap though (but are smaller and last longer).
You would be better to pick one up from a bike shop, they will fill it with acid for you and don't have to post them, probably cheaper. Halfords also have a limited range of motorcycle batteries both standard and sealed. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
