I'm stunned.

Matt was a very good friend of mine & we have spent many hours together both on & off bikes.

On behalf of all of us in the Stoke on Trent bikers charity / Star bikers clubs our hearts go out to his family.

Sleep well.

Thoughts go out to his friends and family.

As was mentioned in the other friend, at least he went doing something (I presume) he loved.

Don't know what to say really

Wasn't just some bloke off the internet to me, i knew him well as do a few of others on here. I spoke to him saturday night and he said he was going for a ride on sunday with his mate Jason (i think) to test out his new TL.

He was always positive, up for a ride, helped whenever he could and a very talented (albeit a bit crazy) rider. Theres not a bad word to say about him.

He will be missed dearly.

I havent, and im sure people who knew him, have a bad word to say about him. Always there to help, always up for a ride, no matter what the weather!

He was 21, and loved his bikes more than anything, and his newest addition to his toybox was his TL1000s which he was riding at the time.

For me he was a friend who would go out of his way, to give me a hand with something.

I remember once when he had to dash off cos he had a big family meal. My clutch broke, and i called him for some advice, and he simply got up and came straight to me. Thats how much of a good person he was.

Rest in peace mate!

There is no doubt in my mind that Matt died exactly as he would have wanted.

His main ambition was to be a GP rider, and he rode like one and took many risks, he had had numerous accidents, but this did not alter his riding habits, and maybe, inevitably led to his death. This was Matt's choice, he got a huge adrenalin rush from his bikes and rode exactly as he wanted. I suspect I would give up riding after a couple of accidents, Matt had had many.

Yes its a complete waste of a young life, but as I said 'his choice', he told me many times after I kept trying to tell him off, 'Its how I am' .... maybe this comes across as harsh, not supposed to be, I liked Matt as a person, he had a wicked wicked sense of humour and was very considerate, one of the few people that texts you in the morning to see if your feeling happy today !!

Rest in Peace Matt ... I will miss our late night chats.

Another tragedy, but also spare a thought for the driver he hit head on. I'm sure killing a biker in a head on collision wasn't on his to-do list that day.
