There is a biker death reported in the Wales section of the BBC website.

Can someone post a link?

'A 36 year old motorcyclist from the Swindon area has died at Pembrey racing circuit'

Sounds a bit throttle happy if you ask me.

It’s quite hard to hit 4 bikes in one go.

Sorry I had thoughts of 4 guys at the finish line and some guy colliding into them.

I see your point, but I always thought there would be a lot of space on a track day.

Racing isn't a trackday and a trackday isn't racing.

Trackdays aren't too bad, people tend to be reasonably spaced out.

Races you've got everyone trying to get round the same corner at the same time. Much more potential for things going wrong, unfortunately.

Just to clarify,

I think he was a club racer competing. Not on a open access track or pace day.

I would have thought being a racer he would be kitted out in good gear too. Just unfortunate that sometimes even the best stuff isn't gonna save you.

That one sentence does more than enough to express grief.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.

I think he stalled on the starting grid and got hit by the pack. Very sad. Sad

Noone did ask you. Before you go saying stuff like that wait for the facts. That's not what happened.

No one needs to be asked for their opinion or what they think. On internet forums people do quite often give their opinions and say what they think and you might not agree with what they say. You might also find this happening in real life!

Whoa Whoa everyone chill!

Thread was to make you aware that one of ours had died. The how why an when doesn't matter. What matters is you realise that every time you turn that key you realise that this ride could be your last.

At least learn something from the ammount of people that have died or been injured this weekend.

Rick.

I sold the guy a seat unit that I acquired for my CBR. I shook his hand. I have since read about his enthusiasm for the upcoming racing season on the CBR Forum. A tragic loss indeed.

RIP Miles.

A guy was killed here in N.Ireland 2 weeks ago at Kirkistown at
a Track Day. I didn't post at the time as I was waiting on more details, but it seems to have been a freak accident. High Side and landed head first.
