Ok, ive been in this forum a while and i know how many people post about doing there test ect, but now its my turn Razz

well ive finaly pushed myself to do my test, ( on my own bike)
im a pretty confident rider, and whilst out on my own on the bike i try and practise test conditions, and i feel that i am good enought to pass my test, i have no problems with u turns as most people do so wont be too bad there.
I know theres a few things for me to do like my hazord, theory and my test but im wanting a couple of lessons before i do my test, just incase i havnt coverd anything myself wich im sure i have, im basicly wanting some views on what i should go for first, things to try, things not to do ect, oh and also some avarage prices if you will.

Oh will be booking it as soon as i find my blasted CBT form Very Happy

Many thanks, Steve.

Cheers, Steve.

Hiya steve, I did my DAS with a guy called steve in Workington. I think for two days training then the third day with an hour or so and the test cost about £300 upwards?

They arranged the theory test for me, lets be honest if you know your arse from your elbow they are both pretty easy.

The practical lessons will be a nightmare at first, especially if your riding the bigger bike for the first time, and will take some getting used to. On the first day I struggled but the second was awesome.

The test itself is far easier than the car test for sure, all that pushing the bike around in the road, doing a U-turn etc etc shouldnt be a problem if you have been riding a while! Plus the questions at the end are easy too. Nothing to worry about mate, ratch out that certificate and get on with it, will be the best thing you will do all year!

Wink Thumbs Up

Uhm, I don't think he's doing the DAS, as he says he's using his own bike, which is a 125 cruiser IIRC.

Anyway, I found a private instructor, he charged me £50 for 3 hours. I passed the next day on my first attempt with 3 minors.

So the big bike instruction businesses aren't always the best way to go, mine was all 1-on-1, he was top notch, and an excellent price.

Just book it, if you fail it's not the end of the world, I found the bike test quite straight-forward, but then I guess anyone who's failed probably doesn't see it the same way, it's easy for me to get complacent.
