Tyres..Tarmac???

I just want to know when your tyres are hot do you have more grip on hot tarmac or cold tarmac?

Just asking this because when it is cold and my tyres are hot im not sure how much grip i have, so when its really cold will i have enough grip for KD?

I've KD'd in the wet, so I'd say it's fair to assume cold roads it'll be ok, just ensure the tyres have warmed up alot.
