Whats the best way to makes scuffs on plastic come up like new?

I've got some nices scuffs on my mirror and was wondering if it's best keeping it or replacing with a new item.

Also, my tail unit has some light marks on it. Short of painting it or replacing a whole new tail unit will alot of polishing bring it back up like new?

Have you seen the lipstick looking scratch repairer with the new Turtle wax bottles?
Might be only good for metal though.

Why would you want the scuffs to look like they are new??? Surely the idea is to get rid of them so they don;t show? Laughing
