I was looking through the net looking to see if I could find a cheap RGV 250 or NSR and look what i found....A bike shop selling a totally unregistered 1988 NSR. Its only done 3 mile and would qualify for a new license plate...If I had the cash I would!

its actually an NS250R. Its different.

very rare bikes but not as rare as the NS250F (naked version), top bikes back in there day but only produce about 40BHP so are out classed by newer NSR/RGV/KR1S etc

The NS250R MC11 was introduced in 1985 and was the leading edge design destined to be the ultimate configuration for a twin cylinder 2-stroke motorcycle!

It sported both an aluminium frame and swingarm, unheard of on a road-bike in it's day, along with Honda's trendy Astralight wheels. Again Honda used the ATAC system similar to the MVX, but had now introduced a nickel-silicone carbide (Nikosil) coating on the cylinders for reduced friction and greater wear resistance. 45hp @ 9500rpm out of the showroom made the NS250 an instant hit with Japanese sport riders and club racers alike!

It's design and styling was taken directly from the works RS250R's of that era, a bike that was cleaning up in GP's and eventually allowed Freddie Spencer to win both the 250 and 500 World GP titles in the same season!

A naked (unfaired) version, without the Astralight wheels, was also available, designated the NS250F, but was never as popular, and today is extremely rare!

That's gotta be even more rare than the 400! And for that reason id avoid it like the plauge! Most 400 owners are having to be very inventive and do alot of reasearch into alternative parts and even look at having stuff made, just to keep them on the road. I you had the 250, i think in few years when it wears out you would be totally fucked for spares!
