That does look rather good actually. Will certainly make the bike stand out/be different from all the other VFR's.

Not too keen on the stars though, unless its meant to look like the American flag. Laughing

I was gonna post in your pictures of your bike thread that I was impressed and quite liked the look of your bike... the original scheme has that 'classic' look matches the classic design of the fairing.

Personally, think it would be ruined by something like the above.

Because it may make your bike be worth less money in the long run? Because insurance can ask more to insure it?

In the end, if you like it, it's your money to pease your self with Smile.
Just don't expect everyone else to share your tastes Smile.

(Saying all that, I may actually look at getting a 'race rep' scheme on my rs250, but no way am I paying lots of money to get it done Smile )

I totally agree, you spend your money on what you like. Its not about what its worth when you sell it, it what its worth to you.

I really, really don't like it. Confused

As G says it's definitely a bit of a 'classic' look atm and god knows some tacky patriotic (and are you even American?) design will totally ruin that. Don't do it. Razz

A lof of people, however, may get a lot more 'enjoyment' out of there money if they could get an even better 'next' bike Smile.

Also a lot of people do expect everyone else to think there bike looks good, not just them and often get annoyed/angry when they find out this is the case (or at least when people tell them so after they ask for opinions).

Much as it's nice to 'live for the moment', consideration for the future is usually a good idea Smile.

I like it...but those stars have gotta go. It brings the paint scheme down a couple of pegs imo. Smile

Funny you should say that, I mentioned that mine had been sprayed and they (MCE) said they didn't care what colour it was as they didn't mention it on the policy.

I agree. Most people will always spend more than they will ever get back out, either in time or in money - but what the hell!

I like it. Shame its a Yanks flag rather than a british flag.
But I think its pretty hot.

Who gives a sh1t how much it will be worth. its what it is worth to you what counts.

Take my scooter for example. Its got a pile of crap paint job. An engine which needs work monthly. But, I dont owe any money for it. Its cheap to run. And I absoloutly love it. and although It need work constantly as it is quite old for a scooter. I like it. its probably only worth about £600 Tops. And ive spent well over £1500 on it since Ive had it. But 1, thats part of motoring, and 2, Its what I want.

If you like the paint job, and you are willing to pay for it doing. Then go for it dude. Thumbs Up
Will look shit Hot in the summer! Very Happy

Huh???

He was pointing out the fact (that evidently escaped you) that the paint scheme in question is about as fucking QUEER as you could possibly get without adding in a My Little Pony mural & putting a decal on the back of your helmet that says "stick it up my bum".
Does that help clarify matters?

It's very American, if you see what I mean - garish, in your face and covered in stars. I like race-rep colours because they're a bit different. I used to have a Lucky Strike GSXR and it was gorgeous. Jeanette's got her VFR in the West colours and it one of the nicest ones I've seen. Anyway, back on topic, I found this picture of Bostrom's Ducati from a few years back and although they're different manufacturers the deisgn is similar to the one you're looking at.
