How much vibs where you getting off that? Laughing
I think the first move is to take the chain off and clean it and see if you can work that link free!!

At high speed i could feel it when ever i braked, like a juddering through the bars, so thought my discs were warped or my steering head was loose. Checked them both and couldnt put my finger on it, til i let the bike roll at around 40 with the neutral in and realised it was the chain.

New chain and rear sproket seem to be in order, ive had 4000 miles of this one over winter.

any links to a cheap website to order some?

Yeah - Ive been in contact with a guy recently who reckons he can supply 'gold' chains for as little as £40.

He has a reasonable website and answers e mails fairly quickly so all seems genuine however I obviusly can't vouch for the quality of the goods.

PM me for the details

Try Patternparts.net and Busters accesories. Don't know about a down toothed sprocket though

My bike takes a chain with 106 teeth, so just count how many teeth there are on yours I guess and get one the same.

Worst to worst you'll have to take a couple of links out.

I just walked into a local bike shop, and picked up a cheap chain, £28, job done.

Much better to angle grind a few links off than it is to think "hmmm this is slightly too short". Smile

buy a stock chain, then angle grind some links off (ya have some spare links then).

then just use a rivetor.

my new chain and sprockets for my FZR600, cost £90 (106 X ring chain, 2 stock sprockets)

but my partners mum owns a chain and bearing company, and i can get chains and sprockets and bearings.. .really cheap Twisted Evil
