Seeing the other threads on what parties are proposing for the election thought I'd add this...
Quote:
Motorcycle Steering Group

The last Conservative government recommended the implementation of a wide-ranging Motorcycle Strategy Group as a follow-up to the successful Cycling and Walking Strategy Groups that we established. But this Government is not living up to the commitments that they made in their own transport White Paper. Their Bike to Basics campaign before the last election has become just another abandoned promise.

The next Conservative Government, in our first 100 days, will ask the motorcycle community to create a Motorcycle Steering Group to develop policies in the interests of motorcyclists and ensure proper implementation and continuous monitoring of motorcycle safety. This will help facilitate the introduction of the raft of motorcycling policies that we unveiled earlier this year.

I hope more info can be added before the election?

This would be a little silly as the Government Advisory Group on Motorcycles (GAGM) has not long reported to Government who have recently issued the National Motorcycle Strategy.

It may not be perfect, but it would make more sense for the Conservatives (assuming they got in) to tweak the Strategy than it would for everybody to spend another three years discussing it all over again.
