Got me thinking the otherday, I would think that most people like right handers better because of roundabouts, But I feel much more at home on left handed bends, I cant put it into words why but I just feel more at home

I am right handed too.

So which do you prefer?

Can get further down on right handers but I enjoy a nice left hander.

I prefer left handers as I can keep a constant radius more easily with the verge to follow.

I do forever worry when cranked over at high (50 something Laughing ) speeds that I'm going to run wide and go over the central divider line or into the verge. That normally happens at just about the point where the front suspension starts pogoing and I see the car parked half on- half off the road on the apex... Rolling Eyes

Realy i should like left handers because thats all they have on speedway tracks! and thats what i did prefer until about 4 days ago i realised i could slide off a bit more on right handers, and now like a good right hander! (still trying to get my knee completely down on them tho) Thumbs Up

Right. It just feels more natural.

Since the nice hot weather i've removed my right hand chickenstrip, but there is still about 7mm of chickenstrip on the left.

I've found a nice flowing left hander near me though, that should sort things out.

I think psychologically for me, I prefer left-handers because I have a visible run-off; as inadvisible as it is to cross the middle of the road I just feel more comfortable because I'm not going to run wide into a stone wall/curb/tree lined ditch.

I prefer lefties at the moment, but I think it has something to do with the fact that my clipons are quite badly bent Very Happy This may change when I finally find some straight ones Thumbs Up

Knee downs off roundabouts lefties for me, right seems weird but I bet its probably the road layout where I live not offering enough fast right handers. Plus riding all winter you don't get enough opportunities. PLus theres the weird feeling that when you are listed over to the right a car could hit your head! Plus kein from work was leaned over right when a bike came the other way and its bars hit him between his shoulder and elbow and he almost lost his arm!

Right handers get gravel on the apex(outside really I know... Shifty ) and kerbs/ walls to hit when you run wide, or you take it too tightly and you have your head in oncoming traffic. Left handers do have the other side of the road to drift into if needed, though doing that to be confronted with an artic is something of an unwanted worry.

Actually, thinking about it, every off I've had, bar one bizarre one were on right handers! They are evil! Laughing

Right handers everytime despite been left handed. Confused I think roundabouts are the key. I will quite happily hang off like a monkey on a right hander but on a left hander I can't seem to manage to get myself in the same position and feel less confident on left handers. Also in my area all the best corners are long sweeping right handers, there are quite a few off camber left handers which require a bit more thought! So maybe I'm just not getting equal corner practise?

Can only take right handers. Even though im left footed, I cant get a decent left hander because my stand scrapes the floor and will throw me off my scooter if im not careful.

Right all the way! Thumbs Up Mr. Green

feel more confident on my rights, as i fell of on a right...... and i spent ages getting used to them now i can scrape the pegs, altho i can do the same on a leftie but dont feel so secure.

do not like roundabouts, as there full of oil, grids, rubbish and twats who cant drive.

Left is my preference, im right handed also.

I think i see a trend here - Right hander's like left turns, and left handers like right turns.

I personally dis-like turning right for some reason, feel much more comftable with the bike leaned over to the left with my left foot hanging out infront (only off-road) propper motocross style.... Mr. Green

There is no 'I love both' option!

Can't really say I prefer one over the other that definitively.

Used to not care but since fitting the scottoiler and looking at the splashes of oil on the rear tyre from not having it set properly, I'd say right corners give me more confidence. Still, I've not worn off my chicken strips yet so doesn't really affect me.

Left handers for me - and I'm right handed.

I do most of my steering with the right hand, pulling or pushing the bars, infact I don't use the left much at all. It's great to lean into a left hander and just tip the right hand bar away, to give a bit of countersteer, then lean it right over..

My ped's not exactly the fastest bike out of all my mates, but I can beat a lot of them round bends... (they're a bit scared to lean the bikes Smile )

Left for me. Thats only because I dont like right handers after one decided to be mean and make me fall off after going too fast into it. Laughing

Nah, I dont think I have a favourite. I do like right handers simply because roundabouts are fun, and my chicken strips are pretty much gone on that side of the bike. Thumbs Up Mr. Green
