On a 3 lane 'A' road, was filtering between the middle and outside lane... all the lights on my dash came on, bike started to splutter... and it died! In the middle of the road, between lanes!! Turned the key, nothing, no power whatsoever, so I couldnt even bump it!

Another bike came filtering down behind me, stopped and asked if I need a hand, he then proceeded to hold up the middle lane and inside lane to help me across! Top man!

Waited an hour in the cold for Mr RAC, who turned up, took the seat off, saw the battery connections were literally hanging off, tightened them, and I was off and away! Bit disappointed with the fact its a new battery and obviously the garage didnt secure it properly Evil or Very Mad

I'd suggest a letter. Get the call log from the RAC to prove that you're not lying to them.

You probably wont get much more than a 'sorry' letter back, but it's better than nothing. Also, if you use them again, check any work they do before you wheel it out of the garage, as afterwards you may have very little come back if things go tits up again.

i.e. "Sorry mate, the connectors were on fine when we put the seat back on, someone else must have fiddled with it afterwards."

I need to go back to the garage anyway, so i'll have a word then. Was not impressed though!

RAC gave me a copy of the callout and what was wrong, so I'll just show them. Hopefully they'll care!
