Returning from a recovery to just outside Bedford, I come down this country lane in my tow truck to find three blokes trying to heave a Kawasaki out of a ditch.

Turns out the rider's OK, but he`d lost the bike on a bend and stuffed the bike down a ditch. Sad

Trouble was they couldn`t get any leverage to get it out and kept slipping down the ditch.

Luckily we carry various straps on the truck and with the help of another motorist we got it out.

Fair amount of damage on it though, and I don`t think it'll se the light of day again.

The only hair raising bit bit was whilst we were trying to get it out, a twat in a peugeot 306 came flying round the bend and nearly drove over all of us! He was on his bloody mobile at the time.

Well done mate that was very nice of you. Always nice to offer help if you can. I'm sure they really appreciated it. Good job Thumbs Up

Wish there was more people around like you, instead of other people that just look and drive past.

Thumbs Up

I dropped my bike yesterday(whilst stationary). I wasn't feeling very well and was tired from lots of riding, which is probably why I let it drop and then couldn't pick it back up. A guy stopped and helped me pick it up. The gear lever had been bent and was inline with the linkage so I couldn't change down gears. The guy got a screwdriver from his car and levered it back out a bit so it was rideable. If he hadn't have helped me then I don't know what I would have done - Couldn't thank him enough Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up to all people who stop for fellow bikers.
