I have recently bought a reedblock from PM tunning. I need to know is it as simple as just replacing the standard one with the new one. OR will I then have have to either amend my fuel settings or change the carb jets. I'm not realy bothered fitting it, if it involves messing with fule mixture and changing jets.

For info my carb and jets are standard, but I have doppler exhaust, the reedvalve is Doppler too (following the pm TUNNING guide.) Mallosi Mutlivar Variator and Poloni Clutch , Kevlar Malossi Belt. are alos fitted.

Any advise or suggestion would be apprecited. Smile

Pretty sure you just rip the old one out and fit the new one, no need to adjust anything.

The Doppler reedblock will pop straight in. Im not convinced it will offer much if any improvement though. It's certainely alot eaiser to fit than the Polini big 4petal reedblock i put on my 100. I had to grind off the two bottom fins on the barrel to get enough clearance and that was no fun on a cast iron barrel on a summers day!
I dont even think it made a huge difference either. I did everything i could to my 100cc without fitting a big bore kit, and i got 11.6bhp eventually which is rubbish for the amount of work i did. If id done similar mods to an RXS100 engine it would have been 16-17bhp easily!
