My exhaust is ... exhausted ?

Hi there..


My cg125 exhaust is a bit rattley; even when i give it a kick.
So i got the tourch out and shown it down the end of the pipe and hit it with my other hand.

I see the insides of the exhaust moving about

Anyway, the bike keeps getting random bouts of loss of power, so i owuld be doing 50mph, and then suddenly it would go no faster than 30mph,,,

Could this be the exhaust ?


Also, does anybody have an easy way of driving in fork oil seals ?

That could certainly be the exhaust, if the internals are breaking up they can collapse in places and restrict the gas flow rather a lot. Replace it.

As for fork seals, driving them in?
I'm assuming you are doing it properly with the forks all stripped and you're just having trouble getting the new seals into their groove.
Make sure the groove is clean with the spring clips removed, and push them down with something blunt, slowly. Personally I normally just push them in with the flat of a screwdriver blade, then use the tip once they are mostly in.

havent got the forks apart yet, but just seen than the manual recommends a 'special tool' !
Will use flathead, thanks.
