nsr service, how much?

hi, I would like to get my 02 NSR serviced so it's all nice for the summer. Anyone know how much it would cost and what they would do? it's done just under 4k so its it's first service. cheers

My other half had a quote for a service last year when he had his nsr. £80 for a service, not sure what it consisted of but he had all the fairings off it at the time. So add an hours labour on top of that i suppose.

all services except de-carbon (every 7500 miles) can be DIY . no way to spend money for nothing . what's need to be done :
- control break pads
- change gear oil
- chain adjustment & lub
- control/change sparkplug
- control clutch play
- control every bulb
look on the workshop book , my grand-son who is 12 years old can do it perfectly

I'm a bit too lazy to diy. I also want a garage to check out a couple of minor little things and make sure everything is well oiled as it's been left outside all winter. I was thinking if it was around 50 quid then let a garage do it, if it's closer to 100 then I might have to diy.

Well, i think a service would cost about 100 pounds but probably more. They charge a hell of a lot for labour.

its the removing pannels that if you do yourself will save you a bit of cash. my other half use to get really annoyed because you had to take nearly everything off to get to some parts Laughing

why not ring the garage and ask them how much it will cost you. then once they have given you a price ask them how much if you remove the fairings yourself. a good garage should knock some cash of the price they have just given you for that.
