Moving to Canada and selling the bike!

Yep, it's curtains for my riding plans for a while!, My girlfriend and I have decided Australia is just too laid back, lacking in lifestyle and behind in technology, plus we are sick of scorching hot summers! so it's off to Canada soon, we are looking for a house in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I thought I would sell my bike now to reduce any further depreciation in value. It's a 2004 ZX-6R with a Micron scorched Titanium exhaust, Ermax Tinted double bubble screen, Ermax under tray, Oggy Knobs, Rear seat cowl new Michelin pilot power tyres, just had it's 12,000KM service and it has 6 months registration, I am asking for $13,000.00 or nearest offer,what do you think?

What a shame.. just when you started getting your knee down. Any plans on getting a bike in Canada? If so which would it be?

I would consider moving to the U.K. if it were'nt for the massive price of housing and living expenses. Here in Bunbury Australia we have just had a large fast growth in property value and it is time to sell!!! Canada has a currency that is almost the same as Australia ($1.06 AU=$1 CA) but the price of housing over there is almost half as what it is here! plus the houses are much nicer, weird how this world works isn't it I just thought that if I listed what my bike had and what price I was asking somebody may have an idea what would be considered a fair price for the bike

If you plan on getting a zx10 then may I say it was a pleasure knowing you. *goes to post a thread of another biker dying *. I'd say the zx, it's a mean bike. I have a feeling once you get there you'll start to miss the hot summers that you get.

Try living in the middle east . I swear to god I sat on the bike yesterday after uni and I felt like I was sitting on a an oven. And about the zx10r, we are all power hungry just be carefull .

I was on holiday 2years ago in Canada, and while the country has alot to reccomend it, one of the biggest bonus's is the absurdly cheap housing, and the vast amount of space to do well almost whatever you want, its not IMO the ideal place for sportsbikes, and i suspect that you will find a ZX10R not the best bike overall for riding, on what is often long, flat, straight roads in many places.
We stopped at one of the national parks, and in the carpark i saw a ZX12R with a full Hindle system, but im sure the owner did'nt buy that bike for the challenging technical roads, thats for sure. If i did live in Canada, id definately have to have some serious off road machinery, as thats one hell of a place for riding dirtbikes!

Is it not quite hard to actually move to Canada? I thought there was a points system to be accepted to live there? My dad looked into it a few years back but ended up moving down to the coast.

stick to the summers as when it rains its a major downer when your on or want to go on your bike as tires arnt really that grippy in the wet

You might want to look into how much jobs pay over there before moving.. I know living is cheaper in terms of how much it costs, i.e. houses... BUT it's not cheaper if the average wage over there is a lot less?

Only bonus I can see is that if you already have enough cash to buy a house then you can buy a far better house for your current money, but like I say look into how much you'd get paid, as if it IS a lot less then affording the house will still be the same as in OZ

I hope that makes sense anyway Not sure if it's right or not, just a thought I had.
