head light bulb help please !!!

iv got a
h1 12w main
h3 12w high beams bulbs

i need bulbs of the same fitting but more wattage coz my bulbs are pants dont even light the road up and there xenon bulbs and i dont want to get a h.i.d kit fitted any ideas?

There are plenty of places that sell h1 and h3 bulbs, they shouldn't be too much of a problem to get hold of really, auto factors, halfords and the like.

What I would like to point out is upping the wattage will increase amp draw through the stock wiring and may overload things and cause things to get hot and melt. This can be overcome by fitting a relay or two but then we come to, can the charging circuit/generator handle it?

Are you sure they are 12w? I think you will find they are 12volt 55w bulbs.

You can go for 100w bulbs but watch wiring and lens temp as they get bloody HOT!

Its usually the reflector that is crap and no matter what bulb you put in ther will not be much improvement.

Getting 100w bulbs is illegal as the maximum aloud by law is 55/60W I think.
