Replacing battery

If I was to replace my bike battery will any 12volt battery work?

Ideally you would get one which has the same amp-hour rating so it matches your charging system.

If you look at the number on the side of the battery it will say something like:

YB12A-A

or

12N9-DB

The number in the middle referrs to the amp/hours, in the first case 12A/h, In the second case 9A/h.
