Okay this is a question aimed at G or trackdayers with a better memory than me... I've got my GSXR600 trackbike, but it's still running the normal road tyre pressures. I can never remember what they should be for the road anyway (for the bike or car for that matter) but what should they be on the track? Lower I know, but by how much?

The CBR's 36/42 on the road and 32/32 on the track. So probably something like that.

They should be 35/35 when hot.

This usually equates to about 31/30 (front/rear) on cold race tyres.

Worth checking your tyres just after coming off the track.

In cold weather I run 27/29 and 31/33 in warmer weather but also depends on track surface. This is on CBR 600. Everyone is different find what works best for you. Thumbs Up

There was a bit in last weeks MCN saying that your tyre pressure should be reduced by between 6 and 8 PSI but that it was worth checking with the trackday organisers.

I spoke to Bridgestone last year they told me to drop to 31 PSI front and rear when cold for track use.
On the road the R6 is usually 36/36 PSI.
