Brilliant day out for a Ride today, went from newcastle to consett then towards Hexham via a mental back road up to hartside (all in the northeast). Left at mid day and got back at 7 this evening!

The bike was great and got rid of most of my chicken strips from my new tyres but unfortunatly what did spoil the day was nearly getting wiped out twice!
If anyone knows the road then they will understand, the road leading from the hartside cafe down towards Penrith (A686) just as you leave the Cafe you go down aro9und a nice hairpin and through some twisty bits. Well I was having a good ride not too hard as there was a fair bit of traffic when some KNOB! in a silver focus comes screaming around the corner overtaking another car onn a blind corner I see the thing and get run off the road literally! luckily for me there was a little dirt road which I could just throw the bike into, but he was going at such a speed that I would have been killed if I was'nt quick enough. Anyway I was about to chase him and punch the living crap out of him when he stopped I was so angry.
Still Great day on the bike some fast riding and a well spent £20 of fuel = me a happy man!

Yeah he was going at some speed probbaly did'nt even notice what happened. The ride was great the A686 truely is a great road so if anyone is ever thinking of riding it, DO!

My brother and his mate where following me and could'nt beleive it as my brother says thats how alot of bike accidents happen. Just kind of reminds you how much extra you need to be aware of whats around the corner.
